There is a new Miller/Streeter Aud. source for 9/11/82. This is a nice show and a great candidate for a matrix experiment b/c the Aud has got much improved levels of Garcia in the Mix and both the Aud and SBD are good enough quality.

In addition to getting the crowd flavor, I always think killing 2 birds with one stoner is nice when you can improve the depth of the mix.

Just an idea. I know '82 is not a lot of people's idea of the most spectacular year, but there is some quality stuff here. Plus, if you are not a big fan of the year then the pressure is off.

Good suggestion. I love '82. I prefer anything pre-hiatus. But I also love '76-'82, and some other bits of '80s and early '90s.

I just started this one. Amazingly, Final Cut Pro doesn't allow you to do speed and pitch correction simultaneously, so I'm using Audacity (a FREE program) to do the speed correction. This is going to take a hell of a lot longer than I originally anticipated, but I'll start working on it in little chunks. The tiny bit I've done so far sounds great.
